Travel

As you may know by now, I love to bring pieces that I know can transition well from day to night, and from a casual to possibly a more formal setting when I travel. However, I also anticipate that there will be days when I won’t want to think about what to wear but instead, focus entirely on my itinerary. Yes, as much as I love to style and put together outfits, I, too have my lazy days. For days like these, I throw on the basic tee. For me, it’s often a V-neck because I find it so flattering, and depending on the weather, I’ll pair it with a pair of jeans or shorts, or a cute little skirt that’s enough to make a bit of a statement.

You probably recall my post on where I like to shop for my basics. Uniqlo is still, by far, my favorite place for t-shirts because they’re made of amazingly soft supima cotton. They’re so comfortable, and for the most part, don’t wrinkle easily (at least, not if I fold or roll them properly into my suitcase), which is why I always make sure I pack a few when I travel. I’ve learned over the years that these shirts are often only stocked for the spring and summer, so if you don’t see an abundance of them available on the website yet, wait for just a couple of weeks or a month, and I’m almost positive they’ll pop right back up.

Do you have a go-to store/ website for your comfy clothes?

Pritom and I hardly surprise each other partly because we both suck at it, and partly because we just like to make plans together. So imagine my surprise when he told me he had something planned for last Friday night and wouldn’t share what it was. To my dismay, he wouldn’t give in to my […]

I’m a true city girl. I love living in the city and all with which it comes. I also love visiting other cities – soaking in their culture, their food scene, their night life and their pace. Without a doubt, my favorite part when first driving into a city is taking in the cityscape, and smiling at […]

If you’ve read my “About Me” page, you’d know I’m obsessed with all wedding-related things. I thought about sharing our wedding details on the actual date of our third anniversary, but I ended up coming down with a terrible cold, after having fought off another just a few days prior…and then, well, we were on […]

I may have a problem. I think I have an apple-picking addiction. If I didn’t kill every plant that came into my care, or if I had the same kind of patience tending to plants the same way I put together outfits, I’d probably find some space in our tiny yard to grow an apple […]

Happy October!!! After yet another hectic two weeks filled with vet visits for our baby, I’m finally sitting down and going through every single one of our pictures taken in DC three weeks ago. I’d been there a number of times prior but it was almost always because of school or because I was helping […]

There’s something very peaceful about just sitting by a body of water and staring off into space. It’s probably my favorite part about the summer. I love to just soak up the sun and enjoy the tranquility that I don’t quite get living in the city. As much as I’d love to be on the […]

I recently started to have an obsession with Groupon. I think it’s such a great way to find things to do and places to eat at a fraction of the price! A few weeks ago, we stumbled upon a Groupon for a tour of and wine-tasting at Sand Castle Winery up in Bucks County. Last year, […]

After more than a year of contemplating whether or not to start a blog, here I am! “Why now?” you ask. Well, as with everything else that drives me to do the things I do, the time just feels right. The past 9 months have been quite a bit of a roller coaster ride for […]
