Month: April 2017

I love to use colors to express how I feel at a certain point in time, or let them reflect my current surroundings. On this gloomy day, I went for a black tank top under a gray, anchor-print cardigan, paired with a full eyelet skirt. Both the tank top and skirt are from Uniqlo. If you have yet to check out this brand, do so! They offer great quality basics at really affordable prices. In fact, that’s the first place I check out when I’m on the hunt for a comfy t-shirt or a good pair of tights. I love going there for thermals, too, though that’s something I won’t have to worry about for the next 6 months at least, thank goodness! Of course, I often go into the store with just one goal in mind and end up leaving with a couple more additional items, like this skirt I wore, which is no longer available, but look at this piece that’s not only cute, but wrinkle-resistant and quick-dry as well! I’m trying to be good and save up for an upcoming trip, but I have a feeling this will be going into my shopping cart!

Nautical prints and styles are a huge favorite of mine, so naturally, I just had to have this cardigan when I saw it at the Tommy Hilfiger outlet a few years ago. I feel like at the end of winter, or the beginning of spring, I start to scour my favorite brands for anything with sailboats and anchors, or just styles that are sailor-inspired. At the moment, I’m eyeing on these amazing cropped linen pants and these wide-leg chinos, both from J.Crew. The wide-legs are on sale, so I’m definitely tempted! Also, check out these shorts from Tommy Hilfiger. I’m obsessed with them! I have yet to find a cute nautical top this season that’s screaming my name, so if you’ve come across one, let me know!

Hope everyone’s having a lovely weekend!

As much of a city girl as I am, I love to make that 45-minute drive out to New Hope at least twice in the spring or summer. Honestly, at this point, I’ve been there enough times I don’t really do much other than walk to Jersey and back, sit at this French cafe that […]
