As much of a city girl as I am, I love to make that 45-minute drive out to New Hope at least twice in the spring or summer. Honestly, at this point, I’ve been there enough times I don’t really do much other than walk to Jersey and back, sit at this French cafe that I love, and then just sit by the water to watch the ducks. As mundane as it sounds, it’s a nice change of pace for me and a great way for me to “reset”. When the weather became unseasonably warm one weekend in February, we decided to head up to this quaint little town to do a spring shoot. It was definitely much earlier than we would have gone any other year, but it just seemed like the perfect way to welcome an early spring! That was, until we realized winter really wasn’t over yet…ha!
One of my go-to pieces during this unpredictable seasonal transition has been the LuLaRoe Sarah Cardigan. It’s ideal for layering over a sweater and a pair of jeans on chillier days, but also perfect to throw over a sleeveless spring/summer dress on milder days, and who doesn’t like to be able to pull out those cute dresses a little earlier, right? I bought this Warehouse dress almost two years ago on one of my trips abroad. Warehouse is a British brand that offers classic pieces as well as trendier, edgier ones. The cut and print of this dress (and hello – how cute is that tassel?) were what caught my eye, but I’ve stalked their site time and again, and can easily fill my cart with about 20 items in half an hour. I feel like it’s one of those brands that really just have something for every girl!
Now that the weather is warming up, I’m looking forward to doing more shoots. As you can see from my lack of posts, I prefer to hibernate in the winter. I hope everyone is having a fabulous start to spring. Pritom and I are planning a vacation or two, which I can’t wait to share when we finally go! Eeeeek!
